Dana is an abstract painting artist based in Bristol. Originally from Ukraine, Dana’s art embodies her experiences of both cultures, elaborations about home, belonging and emotional existence.
One of the most prominent characteristics of her art is human-like, body-like, organic shapes that symbolise the beauty of our imperfections and our growth.
“Art is a form of therapy for an artist. And therapy is designed to give an opportunity to look at things differently, as an observer, to detach yourself from problems and give your mind a space for finding answers. So I am hoping my art could have a similar function for somebody – becoming a spectator, detaching yourself and opening some space for new thoughts and answers”.
